'03 Explorer XLS 4x4 - Disabling 4x4 Auto?

I'm going to be making a trip out to see some friends in SoCal, one of which owns a dyno shop for compact cars. I don't think he has 4 rollers, so I was wondering if there's an easy way to shut off the transfer case to get a rear wheel dyno reading. I know on a lot of fords you can press and hold a button to disable traction control. I didn't know if there was something similar for the Auto 4x4 Function.

Unplug the transfercase shift motor on the rear of the transfer case. This will send a fault to the ecm. Your 4x4 lights will flash and the AUTO system will not operate. When you are done with the dyno, plug it back up and the 4x4 lights will stop flashing after you cycle the ignition switch.
