Just took my 05 explorer on the interstate for the first time in a long while and it wanted to rock/sway real bad at speeds above 70 mph. I was afraid to even go any faster. The shop where I buy tires and get alighnments said it is the rear wheel bearings. I was suspicious because
I heard no noise so I jacked it up and the wheel will rock about 3/16" at the edge of the tire with the caliper and everything connected...no noise or roughness.
Is this a likely cause...what about shocks? or ?
Thanks a lot, I'm a new user that uses the truck for a mail route...150 miles a day 6 days a week.

Rear bearings usually make noise when they are bad. Check the front swaybar links and front and rear tie rod ends.
