1995 explorer sport check engine light

i have an intermittent check engine light with fault code 336 (dpfe voltage out of range). i checked the dpfe sensor, egr valve, and egr solenoid and they all check good. the truck starts up fine runs great until you shut it of and start it up again while warm. mil comes on and engine runs rough. put it in gear and it dies out. start it up again, same problem. you have to start it up 5 or 6 times then the mil turns of and it drives perfectly. the only code i get is the code 336. help!

To what extent did you check the dpfe? i've replaced quite a few on explorers,
also check to see that the vacuum lines going to them are not restricted or even loose.
