I have a 4.0 aoutomatic 97 explorer. When I take my foot of the gas at speeds over 45 it gives a strong vibration. I also had the same vibration when in reverse and couldn't back out. It went away after a while. Has anybody experienced this, if so can you give me some advise?

Maybe you had a locked break caliper?

Park your car at the same spot. Just don't drive it away. Now, spin the steering wheel always just like you are about to make a u turn.
Do you have it vibrates too?

If so, you have a bad steering pump.
