2000 explorer grinding noise?

I have a 2000 Explorer Sport. Recently, it started making a slight grinding noise when it turns to the left, and the right wheel feels a bit "wobbly" when driving. Any ideas what is causing this and how big of a problem it could be?

Not knowing your mechanical abilities- you may have to feed me more information as I try to help.

Grinding noises can be casued by many things from drive mechanism to braking components. You also mention the right wheel feels wobbly. Is this just a feeling in the steering wheel or have you checked the wheel?

With the little information you have her, let me make a list of potential or likely candidates:
Check lugnuts.

Check that your front brakes are good and that you do not have any warped rotors.

Check that the wheel bearing and CV joint (if it is 4 wheel drive) are all in good condition.

Check ball joints and tie rods.

These would be the best places to start and then report back.
