Exclamation 2000 explorer xlt radio problems

My 2000 explorer xlt's radio has a diplay problem, radio works just fine but you cannot see the clock or what station you are on, the dealer told me there are led bulbs or just one bulb to change out, is this true or are they feeding me a line, if it is true is it an easy fix????????? Thanks

Re: 2000 explorer xlt radio problems

99% of the time the display goes out on a Ford radio, we end up replacing the unit. I am not sure if the "Bulb" is servicable since it is an LCD display.

Re: 2000 explorer xlt radio problems

Thanks for the advice, I will probably just go with an aftermarket setup, probably cheaper!
