2000 mercury mountaineer w/sunroof

Does anyone know how I can fix a leak on the top of my mountaineer, its not coming from the sunroof, its back towards the backseat more? Any suggestions would be great.

Are there any holes in the roof? Missing screws from luggage rack? My bet would be the gasket around the sun roof.

THANKS MR PIPPIN
We think you are exactly right, I will let you know what we find out for sure. We checked the top and there were no missing screws, so we felt way back behind the sunroof and guess what we felt... water. I was told to use vaseline on the gasket/seal of the sunroof but I haven't tried it yet. I am waiting for a reply from FMC before I try that don't wanna tear anything up. Thanks again for responding.
