2002 Explorer XLT stalling problems

Hi my 2002 Explorer XLT is having issues. When I go into reverse unless I floor it quick it stalls. Even if I floor it it struggles to get going. It also takes a while to get into gear which is becoming a problem considering I back out into a busy street everyday. It is also making a clunking noise all the time while driving sounds like coming from I between trans and engine or at back of trans. Like something keeps hitting something else.

Re: 2002 Explorer XLT stalling problems

For the stalling , try cleaning the IAC (Idle Air Control valve) , also check vacuum hoses/pipes for leaks .
