2003 Explorer Sport Trac Question - Ford Forums

Just trying to find out if anyone else has a problem with your vehicle not going over 90mph? When I try to drive above 90 its like I have a governor or something on my engine restricting me from going this fast. (Ok I know its illegal but I was in a hurry!!!)

Exactly - the ECM has a top speed limit function in addition to its many other duties. If you buy one of the many chip programmers out there, you can set the top speed limit anywhere you desire.
