2003 Ford Explorer EB Light Assembly Installation

In North Carolina we still have to get our trucks inspected each year by state law. My Driver side head light assembly has been knocked in twice the light still works, but the aimer has been broken.

I was told I needed a new head light assembly and priced it out of course shops are quoting way high. I found a few options online to buy the part and was going to install myself.

Does anyone know how hard it is to install the driver side head light assembly on a 2003 Eddie Bauer Explorer? I then have to take it in to get reinspected.

Please help with any guidance!

Thanks!

I think the entire unit come out with 2 tabs on top that pull straight up. Look above the headlight under the hood, and you will see the 2 tabs that pull out.
