Question 2003 Ford Explorer High Temp/Low Oil Warning

I have a 2003 Ford Explorer EB V6. The High Temp/Low Oil Warning Light lights up randomly for about 30 seconds then shuts off. In synchronization with that warning light, the Temp Gauge moves into the "red zone" and the Check Engine Temperature note appears in the Message Center Panel for about 30 seconds too. I might go 10 miles or 1 mile before the next occurrence. I regularly change my oil and it is currently clean and at the correct fill level. Do you have any idea of potential root causes to this problem?

Re: 2003 Ford Explorer High Temp/Low Oil Warning

You said that the warning is "high temp / low oil press", and then you went on to say that the oil is fine......

How about the engine coolant? Check the level.

Radiator clean or is it full of bugs, dirt, and dead leaves?

How many miles on it? Water pump okay?

If oil is okay and cooling system is fine, it's probably a sending unit or wiring problem
