2004 explorer xlt flasher
i have a 2004 explorer, the blinker flasher i believe is defective. half the time the bulb comes on but the blinker does not blink.the emergency flashers work but maybe they have their own flasher box? i believe the replaceable flasher box is on the underside of the fuse panel in the driver side compartment area.i can reach up and feel these square boxes but cannot pull any of them off..... is this where the blinker flasher is located? the manual simple calls it "flasher".how the heck do i access it? there seems to be a hex head bolt holding the fuse panel on and a clamp strapped to the frame holding the fuse panel on the other side of it.do i remove the bolt and press somewhere on that locking clamp then yank down on the fuse unit? whatever happened to the old days when you could get to these boxes without contorting your 50 yr old body and laying in a vertigo inducing position straining your aching,aging neck muscles.thanks, paul
