Hello,

I just recently purchased a 2008 Explorer Eddie Bauer edition (used) from a Suzuki dealership for $20,0000. I'm having reason to believe that I may have been duped...is there any absolutely unique trait that a Bauer has that is included in all versions that would tell me whether or not the dealer just slapped a "Ford Explorer: Eddie Bauer" tag on the liftgate of the truck?

And if I was duped, does anyone know of anything that I can make as a case of being duped against the dealership if they advertised it as an Eddie Bauer and it is not?

I have a 2007 Explorer Eddie Bauer. It has leather seats, the trim around the wheel wells and along the bottom and the bumpers are a different color than the rest of the body. Mine is white with gold trim. Shifter is in floor console. Not sure right now what exactly is standard with Eddie Bauer, but I can check my window sticker when I find it.

rervr--that's very observant! I hadnt noticed that.

Here's my question--I'm looking at an EB but it's located 150 miles away. Given the vin, is there any way of telling for sure what options were included in the manufacture? Or, is there a sticker on the Explorer that will list those options? I posted this in other forums, and it was suggested that I visit a Ford dealer. They had no idea where to find such a list.

Seems to me, that if they buy a car from, say an auto auction, there must be some way of knowing what options are on the car short of pushing every button and turning every knob. Thanks in advance for any answers.
