mrstubb Registered User Join Date: May 2010 Posts: 2	4R55E tranny rebuild problem I am rebuilding a 4R55E transmission from my 1998 Explorer 4WD 4.0L. I bought a rebuild kit for it that only requires 4 steel & 4 friction clutches (for a 3.0L engine). My original assembly had 5 of each. Will it be a problem if I continue with this kit?

It takes too much time to r&r and rebuild to see if it will bw alright. Someone else may know and chime in. __________________ Bert
