Eddyalex Registered User Join Date: May 2006 Posts: 1	91 Ford Explorer - Needs Repair- Help My son has a 91 explorer that stalled on him one day after making a metal to metal grinding noice. After the stall he was able to get it start and home (a couple blocks) but the metal to metal noice is very loud. We have had 2 opinions but they did not know for sure the cause. One said possibly valve spring replacement, the other mecahnic had no idea and suggested to bring it into Ford. Befor doing so we are coming to you all for help. The explorer has a new transmission and new brakes. Please help us if you can.
