92 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer Not Startiing - Ford Forums

The truck was running fine yesterday. when it came time to leave work i turned the key and it clicked but nothing happened. I am alomost positive that its dumping the initial charge because of a bad ground. the starter is fine its been tested. i cleaned the battery terminals and checked the most obvious grounds. Any one else have any kind of input for me? relays, switches, solenoids anything?

Dose the car turn over? (sounds like it's trying to start?)
Does it sound like it's not getting any fuel?
If the starter turns and the engine trys to start try pumping the gas and see if that works...but if it won't run on it's own (like it's not getting fuel)
check ...fuel filter..fuel relay switch.....reset fuel cut off (in user manual)
and check or clean the air control valve.

Now if it doesn't turn at all and just a clicking noise...check the battery or maybe rplace the battery ground wire with a new one (like 4 bucks)
But I don't know just some ideas......alternator? dead battery? Starter?
Try tapping the starter with the back end of a screw driver.
any loud squealing noise from the engine lately? maybe a timming belt broke?
That happen to my 626, just a clicking noise.
Just Ideas..but I'm not a ford expert...again just ideas.
