94 Ford Explorer

Hey Im sorta new to this, so please bear with me

I recently bought a Explorer and it has been sitting for a while in the county and now when i have it home (got it here by tow truck) when it was started up it was blowing white smoke. My bf is suspecting a blown head gasket (this doesnt make me happy) but is it possible that it just need to me "cleaned out" oil change and what not?

Re: 94 Ford Explorer

White smoke almost always means coolant in the cylinder..... a blown head gasket is a pretty good bet.

Re: 94 Ford Explorer

White smoke is also from condensation built up in the exhaust. If it only did this on first start and not now, then do not worry about it.
