how it going peeps newb here, just wanted to know when you replace a hub bearing assembly is it recomended to replace both or can i change only 1,cause i have this knocking sound coming from the front right side of the wheel and i belief it's the hub bearing, had it replaced w/a used one a while back and now the knocking is back!!! i wanna put new ones this time & wanted to know if i can go with 1 cause they go about $180 @ autozone!!!if anybody knows let me know apreciated thanks!!!!!!
Typically, if one hub bearing goes bad, the other one won't be far behind it. However, you can replace a single hub bearing, but NEVER install a used one! That's a lot of work for a part you know nothing about.
Try over at rockauto.com, the bearings (Timken-a good bearing) go for about $140.
Good Luck,
Corky
