95 Explorer MLP Sensor Switch
I have a 95 Explorer and the O/D light came on and began flashing. I have had an ongoing saga with my vehicle since the first time it came on, we were told we needed to do an overhaul. To keep the story short, the light has come back on about 6 times and everytime we've taken it they just clear the code and everything is back to normal. (Questioning if we ever actually needed an overhaul...)
But now that the light came back we were told that it is an MLP Sensor Switch that is causing the O/D light to come on. (Manual Lever Position)...does that sound right?
I would like to know what this part does and what symptoms it creates when it needs to be replaced.
As always...I thank those who take the time to read this and try to help me with this. (I have NO clue to cars...and only go by what Im "told")
