Does any one have or know where to get a replacement fuel cap for a 97 Explorer, mine is stuffed and need knoew one. Ford can get them foe me but want $170.00 for it !!!

anyone know of anywhere else i can get one or does anyone have a spare thay can part with???

Me too - I gave up when my dealer said $ 190 for my '99 model and just bought a non-locking one from Cheap Auto parts. It works well and looks better than the orange plastic emergency one I had to buy when the other one died (out bush of course!)

yea just get the generic version one from a parts store you dont really need an OEM $170 cap to hold fuel vapers in a tank anyway.
