98 Explorer 4wd Conversion

I'm just throwing this out here. I'm not about to do this anytime soon as I have 1 car in restoration & another needing suspension work. But what all would I need for this? Just get a manual transfer case, 4wd trans, 4wd front & rear drive shafts, and complete front end all from a junker? I've currently got a 98 Explorer XLT 4.0 SOHC 2wd with the 4 speed AOD. At first I was thinking about just doing a 5.0 swap and leaving it 2wd, but I don't wanna mess with all the computers. I'd rather have manual 4wd. I know most of y'all are gonna just say buy a 4wd Explorer, but I don't need 2. And this one I've got a got about every option available except 4wd of course haha. It's possible but not worth the effort. You would almost have to buy a complete second vehicle to make sure you have all the parts needed. I'm not sure I've actually seen a manual t-case in an explorer. At that point you would need to try and swap out all electronics to make it work.

I'm just shooting for the fastest & cheapest route. I don't really care for the fancy 4wd switches. And a local junkyard has an AWD 5.0 Explorer. I'll just need the manual T case. I hate IFS, but that would be the cheapest since I can pull it from a junker.

I don't think that transfer case will bolt to your Trans. You have a 5r44 Trans a 5.0 is the 4r70 Trans.

I've got the 5r55e in my Explorer. I wasn't gonna use the AWD T-case. I was thinking about a Bronco or 1st gen Explorer manual Borg Warner t case. 1350 or 1354 case.
