1998 ford explorer 4.0L SOHC V6 100k the car will intermittently stall, The engine stutters/shakes then stalls when coming to a stop. Will start but stalls again when put in gear. Dealer replaced IAC motor, intake gaskets, fuel filter. Fuel pressure test showed good still does it but not all the time.
Had explorer back to dealer to find problem – after 2 hour running in shop an 10 miles on the road no luck, would not stall, (And it still hasn’t done it yet (knock on wood).
The ford dealer or us haven’t a clue why it was sometimes stalling while coming to a stop.
Either the gremlin gave up or left or maybe the threat of an exorcism.
