99 explorer wont idle with a/c on

my 99 explorer wont idle with a/c on when i stop at a red light goes dead as long as i am driving it runs fine with a/c off at idle it runs great put a new IAC on last week did help was thinking could it be the mass air

Unplug the MAF and see if it helps. Also, Autozone will pull codes for free.

just went and unpluged it seemed to idle good but when i turned the a/c on it went dead didnt try to drive it any thanks for your help and i will try autozone but can they read it without any service lights on

The light doesn't have to be on for a code to be present. It may show a code for the MAF since you unplugged it so discount that code.
