I'm looking at a 94 explorer with a 4L. It's in great shape and a good price. The only issue I found on it is the ABS. When coming to a stop you can hear it activating as soon as it slows to about 5km/hr. The guy is going to change the sensors but I think it might be something different. Any ideas would be helpful. Thanks
In most cases, it's the sensors that do that. See what it does when he changes them. Test there activation on gravel or sand to make sure they still work.
I had a similar problem in a GM Astro cargo van. One front sensor was bad, swapping it out fixed the problem. Just before coming to a complete stop the van would jerk to the one side, the side with the faulty sensor.
