ABS light comes on after yearly sticker inspection
2000 Explorer XLT. I recently had my yearly state safety inspection. During the inspection they jack up each front wheel and check to make sure the front end it tight. The following day I am taking a 50 mile trip and half the way there the ABS light comes on. On the return trip, I start the vehicle and the light is out. Half way home the light comes on again. The following day (and everyday thereafter) as soon as I start the vehicle the light comes. It might be a coincidence but could jacking up the front wheels with a floor jack and giving them a good "shake" have anything to do with this. What kind of sensor is used to trigger the light and where how is it connected? I'd crawl under the truck and take a look if I knew what I was looking for. Anybody have any suggestions?
