I've got the ABS, Traction control and wrench light on my 2007 explorer with 83,000 miles. I haven't yet found a place that can read abs codes.
I checked the rear tone rings and they look fine.
I jacked the car up and wiggled the front wheels and they both seem fine. when I spun the front tires while jacked up the passenger side would bind when it got to the same spot.
Thanks for the response! I just took it for another test drive (I don't drive it often) and yes I would say there is a droning sound coming from the front wheels. Is there a way to find out what side needs the new front hub? Could it be the passenger side because of the binding or is that another problem maybe brakes?
You could have sticking calliper or front pads just need cleaning out and slides etc lubricated .If you cant feel roughness when spinning the wheels , try driving and when the noise is there , flick the steering wheel to either side and see if noise varies when load transferred to that wheel .
If the light doesn't come on until about 5 MPH, that would indicate a sensor or something in that area. If it never goes off, that means it's probably something else. Autozone or O'Reilly's checks codes for free.
