1meanGT Thing 1 Join Date: Jan 2007 Location: Northern Iowa Posts: 174	Beware: Broken front sway bar links- 98 Mountaineer Just an FYI- My 1998 Mountaineer has had horrible side to side lean/bounce for many years. I just recently spotted a broken sway bar link on the left side. Soon after I replaced the left side- the right broke. Now that they are both replaced, the vehicle has much more road stability. After talking with the dealer I found this is a very common problem. Easy to inspect and fix. Just thought I would share this with other Mountaineer/Explorer enthusiasts. I am not sure how many years this affected.
