Car Hauler Trailer Questions
I'm getting ready to order a new Car hauler trailer and I need to pick the brains of you all that already have trailers.
1...Length. The X is a tad over 15' long and a 18' Trailer seems kinda small. For a little bit more I can get a 20', and for a TAD more I could even get a 22' (THIS is the one I'm leaning towards). Is bigger better? I plan on pulling it with a 1991 F-250 that has the 1 ton towing package. BTW, all three sizes of trailer have tandem axles rated at 12000lbs and brakes on both axles.
2...D Ring Placement. The folks at the trailer factory tell me they can put the d-rings where ever I'd like them. I figured to have one on each corner (Standard Placement?)...Would it be a waste of $$$ to add a D-ring under each axle to secure the X even more than the four d-rings it'll already have?
Any help anyone can give would be greatly appreciated!
