"Check Fuel Cap" - P0457 Evaporative Emission System Leak

I had the fuel pump replaced by a friend last week. The truck is running fine. Then tonight, the "Check Fuel Cap" light appeared on thr dash. I did turn the truck off, checked the cap, then restarted. The "Check Fuel Cap" light is still staying lit. And it has for 2 short drives.

What could the tech have missed or overlooked to have this occur? He did say he would fix any issues. But if possible, I'd like to know if I can fix this emissions code myself. Any ideas? Thank you!

There could be a leak in one of the lines to the tank if the cap is on and sealing properly.
