The switch that controls the air direction, vent, floor, defrost, etc..doesn't seem to work right. No matter which setting it's on, vent and floor are always "on"..even when I have it set to defrost, so my toes are really getting cold
There are about three vacuum actuators that control the heat controls.
Crawl under the dash, start the engine, and try working the controls to see which actuator does what. The one that does nothing is probably bad. You may even try to manually move the actuator to see if it switches.
