Door Latch / Door Lock - Problem and Fix

PROBLEM: My driver's side door lock was "sticking". If I used the remote or the "door lock" buttons, the door lock sometimes didn’t lock or unlock. The only way I could get the door to open was by manually opening the door from the inside and that's when it felt like something was "sticking". However, if I manually pushed the lock down with my finger, and went to unlock it with the remote or the "door lock" buttons, it always seemed to work. My search for posts lead me to believe I needed a new actuator. But at the last minute of investigating I found a small (very small) spring had broken or became dislodged within the door latch mechanism, thus causing the latch itself to stick.

SOLUTION: New Door Latch. Part #6L5Z-7821813-A
Took about 1 hr to install.

P.S. I was almost positive that it was the solenoid, but that wouldn't of fixed the problem... and that would've been frustrating. I hope this info helps others with the similar issue!
