confused Which engine
My 97 4.0 V6 sohc explorer has a timing chain rattle, Which model of engine would be the best to replace it? Could a V8 explorer engine be installed?

You could, but it would be hard, check out www.explorerforum.com, we post all the time about that, there are alot of threads on the timming issue!! good luck

make the 5.0 fit. someone on explorerforum has done it. you will not regret the 5.0 ill never buy another v6 unless im gonna beat on it.
