I have an Explorer 2002 that recently started to Ping & rattle at acceleration. Had a tune up at 100K and runs well. However, the pinging and rattling is evident. No check engine light. Fuel consumption seems to be normal. I put CFoam in gas tank, but no luck. Any ideas?

Was this doing this before the tuneup? Did it gradually start? If it's carbon, there's a way to run seafom through the intake while it's running to help clear it.

It was doing this before the tuneup. It had it then went away. Now it is back. It gradually started. I can try seafoam again. Any suggestions to fix?

From the Seafom site. Read the instructions under 4 cycle engines for "Cleaning Varnish and Carbon Deposits - Fuel Injected Engines "
