Explorer 4.0 sohc timing chains
need to replace all the tensioners plus left front timing chain cassette in my 1999 4x4; the ford book says to remove the left cylinder head to replace the chain -- is this necessary? is it possible to install the new left timing chain cassette without pulling the head? also, do I need to pull the oil pan & ladder rack to replace the balance shaft chain tensioner? many thanks!
