Flash tune experiences

Hi there,
I put a post up quite a while ago regarding experiences using a flash tune product on the V8 Explorer...but didn't get much response so I'm trying again!

Ok, I no longer mind whether your're from oz or the US...just tell me if you've done a software re-map and did you get good results? I can get a product here for $AU 795...just considering whether or not to get it.
Cheers,
Tim

Re: Flash tune experiences

I have no experiance on this but if the V8 in your explorer is the same 5.4ltr 3 valve SOHC found in the BA XT Falcons then I would expect to see similar results to those that have done it to a BA Falcon. It may be worth looking for people that have flashed them.

Maybe Simon in the Extreme Ford Tuning area in the sponsor area of the forums may have some ideas too.

Re: Flash tune experiences

Thanks for that. Unfortunately it's not the same engine, I'd be laughing if it was!

The explorers get a de-tuned version of the Mustang 4.6lt so it's a US engine.
