flat towing an 04 Explorer

I've got a 2004 4WD Explorer. I bought the "kit" that allows me to tow it behind another vehicle by putting the transfer case into neutral. The instructions indicate I have to tell the computer to enable this neutral position. The kit itself is nothing but a simple switch that has either a 1 or 2 wire connector that connects to a connector just above the gas pedal. Can somebody tell me about the computer aspect of this? It appears that I have to take it to somebody with NCS computer capabilities.

Re: flat towing an 04 Explorer

fxdwg,
You have to take it a dealer so they can reprogram the switch you installed. I had my 05 ST 4x4 done at a local Ford dealer for $90.
