Ford explorer sport sensor noise

When I start the truck it does a 5 beep noise for 5 revolutions . It also does it every half hour when I drive .

My 98 ranger did it after I put a 99 motor in it ... I never could figure out why it did it ... any smart people on here ?

Re: Ford explorer sport sensor noise

It's more or less the OEM security system. It senses something isn't right.

Beeping can also be caused by a poorly installed car starter, aftermarket alarm system, cellular communication radios, etc.

Two other things to check, when you start the vehicle and DO NOT see an air bag light, if you replace the bulb in the dash, that can also stop the beeping. Same could be said for the seal belt lamp - if it doesn't light up when you start the vehicle, it can beep relentlessly at you even if you are buckled up.
