fuel gauge faulty
I just purchased a 2003 explorer XLT and the fuel gauge is acting very strange.
When the needle is approaching EMPTY, and I stop to refuel, the needle stays where it is. It takes about 100 miles of driving for the needle to slowly work itself up to FULL. Once it gets there, it slowly moves back down as it should.
I let the SUV sit overnight, but that didn't make the needle move at all--it's only through driving that it seems to go up to FULL.
Anyone else with this problem? What did you do?
