Fuel Pump Driver Control Module

My 04Sport Trac will be running fine then die with no warnings. Computer said Fuel Pump DCM is offline. Is this fairly easy to get to and replace by a less than novice mechanic. What is the Cost of a replacement.

Re: Fuel Pump Driver Control Module

Is this "Fuel Pump DCM" message a light on the dash or a trouble code?

Re: Fuel Pump Driver Control Module

driver control module...have you checked a repair manual? this sounds like some kind of fuel pressure control unit but I wouldn't want to mis-diagnose the problem, what was the actual code number? can you actually drive the truck for any length of time? do you hear the pump priming the fuel system when you turn the key to the "on" position before starting the engine?
