hi guys i had a strange day i replaced the fuel pump assemby in my 2000 ford explorer now theres a gasoline leak on floor i shut it off and cleaned up gas and went home for the day i think its leaking at the high pressure line off pump can i remve the plastic line and use braided gas line and two clamps thanks steve fitz

There's to much pressure for a hose with clamps. That's a safety issue. If it blew off on a hot day, you'd have one heck of a fire. Best to get the right part.

Thank you rtg 143 for you response i agree. Safety first i went to the dealer the gas line is obsolete so im having a new line made at a hydro. hose dealer i still will have to use a compression fitting to attach to steel line they assured me psi no problems thanks again steve fitz
