Re: Head bolt torque ?
My book goes up to 1996, probably the same, but not sure
*The cylinder head(s) and intake manifold are torqued alternately and in sequence to insure correct fit and gasket crunch.
Install new cyl head bolts and tighten to 44 ft.lbs
apply silicone sealer to the block and cyl head mating surfaces at the 4 corners if the lifter valley opening. Install the intake manifold gasket and again apply sealer in the same locations.
Position the lower intake manifold on the 2 guide studs and install the nuts and bolts hand tight. Tighten the lower intake manifold bolts, in sequence to 3-6 ft.lbs.
Tighten the cyl. head bolts, in sequence to 59 ft.lbs.
Tighten the intake manifold, in sequence to 6-11 ft.lbs.
Turn the cyl. head bolts 80-85 degrees tighter, in sequence.
Tighten the intake manifold, in sequence, to 11-15 ft.lbs, and then to 15-18 ft.lbs
Sequence:
5 1 3 7
6 4 2 8
