I'm looking for a 2008 Explorer... I think
I currently own a 1995 Explorer Sport, 175,000 miles and still has just about all of the non-wearable original parts. This truck has been very good to me (more specifically, my wife). I plan to keep the 95 and am in the market for a 2008 XLT as I have had a great experience with his vehicle. Keeping with vehicles this long tends to make me very specific on colors, options, etc and I have contemplated and order. I recently was checking out some local inventory and noticed all the XLT's had tan seats, tan door inserts and tan console lids. Everything else with the exception of the headliner was black. Dash, carpet, most of the door had a black color. This struck me as odd as the interior color on the sticker for all I looked at said Black. At first I thought it was just with the exterior of Redfire (my preference), but all the XLT's with different exterior colors had the same two tone black/tan. I assume the leather option would allow a completely black interior. Does anyone have any insight. Most of the dealers I speak with are not very educated on the product and I often know more about the vehicle then they. Does an all black cloth interior exist in a 2008 XLT? To my knowledge there are two colors for the interior Tan or Black...but black appears to be black/tan. Not sure if the tan selection would yield the same...or maybe tan/black.
