I called the dealership it came from today and she told me it has programmable keys?? I never thought that it did (2002 model Sport Trac). She also told me I have to get the truck towed there and would cost about $150 to get new keys cut and programmed.
Is she right and do I have any other options?

Dealer or qualified locksmith. You really need to get 2 keys programmed so you can always add another later. Locksmith should be 100-150, depending on your area.
