kkester Registered User Join Date: Apr 2003 Posts: 17	Mountaineer Durability? I have a 1997 Mercury Mountaineer--125,000 miles. Other than a few problems with the automatic radio antenna and a noisy fuel pump, it has been an extremely reliable vehicle. All service has been kept up to date. Given this, what would be a reasonable period of time that I can expect continued good service prior to needing a major engine or transmission overhaul? I would like to keep driving it for a few more years if at all possible. Kent Kester
