Have a 1994 Ford Explorer 4x4, 4 door, 4.0L. Just replaced the fuel pump 2 weeks ago. Drove just fine. Parked it at my g/f grandmothers house for a few hours. Started up, idled for a minute, then quit. Cannot hear the new fuel pump power up when I turn the ignition switch to on. Would a new pump stop that quick after running fine with no problems? The driveway entrance is steep and has a small bump to it when entering. My brother said to check the emergency fuel shutoff valve, which I will do.

You should definetly check youre shut-off switch first, if everything is ok check if there is power in the dark green/yellow cable that suplies the switch
