rconkin Registered User Join Date: Jul 2005 Posts: 1	Thermostat housing My daughter's 97 Explorer started leaking coolant last night. I went to see if it was a busted hose and found an oval shaped opening in the top of the thermostat housing where the coolant was coming out of. Does anyone know of a way to fix it short of paying $176.00 for the entire housing including the two sensors? That is the only way the Ford dealerships will sell the part. Does anyone know why the oval shaped opening is there? Ford has redesigned the housing so I would assume that there have been problems with them. Thanks for your help.
