Tranny issue

I have a slight problem with my tranny. when ever i put the truck in park, the car rolls forward (like normal) but the column shifter clicks and moves up when the car settles. I also noticed that the needle that shows which gear i'm in doesn't line up with the letters even when driving. any help is appreciated
