True Dual Straight pipes on V6, Good idea?

right now i have an explorer sport with a 4.0 V6 that has straight pipes going into a y pipe. I'm wanting to get true dual straight pipes ran on it with 2.5" pipe coming out of my 3" tips. Does anyone think this would make my truck louder, or sound better. It sounds awsome right now, but i wanna know if true duals would sound better.

It might sound better if you use 2" pipe and have the tailpipes make a 90 degree bend out the sides instead of 45 or straight back. The 90's usally make it have a deeper tone.
