I'm looking to purchase a new Explorer. I currently have a 1998 UP XT. I'm looking at upgrading to a later model V8 Limited. Here in Australia, the first of these imported is the 2002 UT series and the last is the 2004 UZ.
Physically the UT, UX and UZ all look very similar to me. The price difference between the UT and the UZ is about 50% more (i.e. a 2004 UZ is 1.5 times more expensive than a 2002).
Can anyone elaborate on what differences there are between the three models (focusing on the V8 Limited's). I'm trying to determine whether the extra expenses is justifiable.

Thanks, but that thread is not really helpful. It has a section on the V6 engine used in general which is irrelevant as I'm looking at the V8 models only. It also doesn't specify any differences between the three model codes, just has some general comments on the vehicle.
