Weird studdering issue....

I have a 2001 explorer sport 4x4, the issue is very strange but I'm sure it's partly do to the AC Compressor so here it is. If the vehicle is in park and the HVAC is in any position other than vents or feet only at idle the engine bogs down to about 450-500rpm then resumes normal idle, does this in sequence with the AC cluth engaging as well, does this around every 30seconds. It'll do it 60% of the time if I pull up to a stop light in gear as well. Any clues as to what this might be?
